Youth Trials 2017

Please find below confirmed dates and venues for this years youth trials events. Many thanks to all that participated and supported the 2016 events. Unfortunately I have had to change the date of the first event, apologies for any inconvenience caused. I look forward to seeing you all again on 25th March.

12th Feb – GEST East Kent Trials Combine – CANCELLED

CANCELLED DUE TO WATERLOGGED PARKING – According to GEST website

This Sunday sees the GEST club run the February East Kent Combine trial, this has not been advertised in this month’s Sporting Motorcyclist Magazine due to an admin oversight but is still on.

The trial will take place on Sunday with a start time at 10.30am at the usual piece of land located adjacent to the A28 at Northiam, it will be signposted and you can’t miss it. The venue is an excellent piece of ground and there will be 4 routes as usual including a beginner route for all our newer riders.

Naturally entries will be taken on the day and all entries will count towards the aggregates and club championship

Walker Memorial Trial Start List – 5th Feb 10am -Sittingbourne MCC

85 riders entered for this Sundays South East Centre Walker Memorial Trial run by our friends at Sittingbourne MCC. Start is at Wrinstead Court Farm, Ringlestone Rd, Nr Doddington, Post Code ME9 0EA. Signposted from Doddington Village and the top of Hollingbourne Hill. Late entries available on the day. The trial will consist of 3 laps of 14 sections.

Walker Memorial 2017

Club Horse Racing and Presentation Evening – Saturday the 18th Feb

The annual race night combined with the presentation for this year’s awards has now been set for Saturday 18th February at the usual location of the Bethersden Village Hall.  The theme will once again be big screen horse racing for all to enjoy.

Tickets are now available. As many of you know this is a evening full of family fun for all ages and prizes that also helps us raise the necessary funds to allow the club to continue to operate successfully.

Tickets will cost £10 per adult and £5 per child under 16 and a fish and chip or sausage and chip supper will be provided (you bring your own drink).

Tickets are available from Dave Luck, Keith or Roy Francis. Members and friends welcome.

Kickstart 2016…..

As our thoughts turn to 2016, we all start thinking of our new year resolutions, give up the booze, lose weight, eat better, get fitter, play more, to try and not be all consumed by work…. and of course most importantly get that bike out that has sat in the shed or garage for the last I don’t know how many months (or years!!), get out and have one more ride or ride that trial you’ve always loved, everybody can find an excuse, so you need to make it happen, get that bike out and ride and enjoy the banter and giggle of the trials world or even for the blessed few try and win that class trophy or championship one more time…

So to help you, here are a few early year dates for the dairy in 2016. Get your entries off now or at the very least block these dates in your diary…

17th Jan – Sidcup 60 Trial – Canada Heights fun and frolicks – some excellent technical sections around the motocross track – 90 entries in so far so only 40 places left as of today. See Sidcup and District MCC Website for details

24th Jan – The Ashford Dunlop – needs no introduction, at the Kent Gliding Club, maybe not quite the event it used to be but you never know, always a challenge and the weather can add a little spice.

7th Feb – The Walker Memorial Trial Sittingbourne – fast becoming many peoples favourite early year trial with a long ride round and a route for all.

All 3 trials entries available in sporting motorcyclist.

The second Sunday from February to June then from August to Decemeber will be the East Kent Trials Combine Trials, routes for all from Expert to beginner in the local East Kent area. The next one will be the
